The Friends of Hammonasset Pumpkin and Mum Sale began September 3 and will be open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM until September 29. The Sale is located on Route 1 in Madison, CT 300 yards east of the Hammonasset Beach State Park’s main entrance (next to the Shoreline Greenway Trails new parking area). Friends of Hammonasset are selling pumpkins by the pound and chrysanthemums to brighten your doorstep this fall. The mums have arrived and prices begin at $5.00 per pot. There’s a terrific selection of colors and sizes. Pumpkins should arrive soon. Funds raised from this sale will pay for the entertainment at this year’s Meigs Point Farm Festival.
