Baltic Area Halloween Parade Invites Kids—and Donations

The Baltic Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the annual Safe Halloween Program on Wednesday, October 31, for all Sprague children accompanied by a parent from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Baltic Fire House.
Costume-parade participants should be lined up at the Sprague Town Hall by 6 p.m., prepared to be escorted by Baltic Fire Engine Company #1. The participants will be allowed into the firehouse first—so take part in the costume parade or come prepared to stand in line, the organizers say.
Quantities of candy will once again be given out to all of the children and their parents who call Baltic, Versailles, and Hanover their home. A costume contest—with six bicycles as prizes—will be judged throughout the evening by volunteers.
Amgraph Inc. is traditionally the primary sponsor, and the prize bicycles are donated by Sharkey’s Pizza. Further donations are greatly appreciated: make checks payable to the Baltic Fire Department Halloween Program, noting “Safe Halloween Program,” and mail to the Baltic Fire Department, P.O. Box 314, Baltic, CT 06330. Contact Reg Patchell at 860.917.5064, or by e-mail at  with any questions.
