Charlie Anastasio has been a familiar face at Charlie’s Place in Niantic for the past seven years. He, his wife Penny and daughter Thea are hands-on every day to ensure their customers are enjoying great food and service.
With a bonanza of the best breakfast choices in town, served from 7 to 12 daily and until 1 p.m. on Sunday, diners can choose from eight omelet platters prepared with three farm-fresh eggs, home fires and toast. Hot cakes, French toast, more egg dishes and a baker’s dozen of sides make any breakfast a banquet.
Chef John Martunas features Seafood Newburg, Lobster Penne a la Vodka or Baby Back Ribs and other great dishes as daily specials, and there is always succulent Prime Rib on Saturday night.
Charlie’s full-service bar offers a good choice of draft and bottled beers, and a variety of wines to accompany a dazzling array of American, Greek and Italian favorites that always make lunch and dinner at Charlie’s a feast for the eye and the palate.
Charlie says starting in November he’ll be offering a Happy Hour Sunday-Thursday from 4-6 with half-priced appetizers, $2 drafts and $4 house wine. Come for drinks, stay for dinner.
This regional restaurant is recommended on TripAdvisor.com by customers who rave about it. The Anastasio family and the well-trained staff look forward to making you a “regular.”
