VITAS Innovative Hospice Care Serves as Host to Third Annual Memorial Day Remembrance Event at Naval Submarine Base in Groton, CT

Local Veterans to be Recognized for their Service

 

WHAT:    For a third consecutive year, VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, the nation’s leading end-of-life care provider, will serve as host to a Memorial Day Remembrance event at the Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, CT, to recognize and honor local veterans and their families. Connecticut veterans and their families, along with state and military dignitaries, will attend the service, which will include patriotic music and a color guard. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the event.

VITAS invites local veterans to call and reserve their spot to participate.

 

WHY:   VITAS serves patients and their families throughout Connecticut and is dedicated to improving end-of-life care for all veterans. This memorial service celebrates veterans’ lives and their personal contributions to U.S. history and the Connecticut community.

                       1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
