CEDF’s Small Business Fall Classes

Understanding Business Finances to Maximize Your Profit: Inexpensive, three-evening workshop in business financials taught by Ed Muenzner, CPA to be held Oct. 7, 14 and 21. $20 CEDF clients; $35 general public. Existing owners of small businesses will learn how to manage financial systems to increase profit.

Introduction to QuickBooks Workshop: A four-night workshop on QuickBooks, to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Nov. 1, 2, 8, and 9.  Software included, a $199 value.  $125 for CEDF clients; $160 for general public. Prerequisite is CEDF’s Understanding Business Finances workshop. Limited to 10 participants; pre-registration required.

Tax-Related Issues for Small Business: Two-night workshop Nov. 16 and 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. for existing owners of small businesses on the tax issues involved in running a Connecticut business. $15 for CEDF clients; $25 for general public. It will include discussion of different kinds of taxes, deadlines and filing responsibilities. Bring questions about payroll taxes, sales and personal property taxes. This workshop will be taught by Ed Muenzner, CPA. Preregistration required.
