Charlestown Driver Competes In National Truck Driving Championships | The Resident

On August 3-7, more than 450 professional truck drivers from all 50 states met in Columbus, Ohio, to put their safe-driving skills to the test in the annual National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC). Keith Towne, a Driver for FedEx Express based in Norwich and a resident of Charlestown, competed against his peers from across the country in the Step Van class. His final standing was 12th out of the class which included 32 drivers. Keith qualified for the NTDC by taking the top spot in his class at the state competition earlier this year. He accumulated more than 312,000 accident-free miles and has been a professional truck driver for 13 years.
