June Valenti, out-going president, Mystic Lions, presided over the clubs President’s Awards Night with Armand LaFleur, CT Lions Past District Governor, held at the Fisherman, Noank.
The Mystic Lions Club is pleased to announce awards for several of its most outstanding members. June Valenti, president, Mystic Lions, presided over her last meeting as head of the club for President’s Awards Night, held at the Fisherman Restaurant in Noank. Joining June was CT Lions Past District Governor Armand LaFleur.
Special awards were made to distinguished Mystic Lions for their extraordinary service to the community. The Melvin Jones Award, the highest recognition of a Lion was presented to George Findlayson and Herb Holmstedt. Robert Valenti was presented with the International Lions Award for his many years of dedicated and selfless service to his club and the cause of Lionism. John P. Read was presented the Knight of the Blind Award.
