On Memorial Day, May 31st, the Noank Memorial Day Parade will assemble on Main Street at the corner of Pearl at about 9:30 am. It steps off at 10:00am, and follows a circuitous route through Noank Village and out over the bridge to the cemetery. Once assembled at the cemetery, a ceremony will be held honoring past and present veterans.
The parade will then reassemble and proceed along Noank-Mystic Road to the Veterans Memorial at the base of Brook Street where a wreath placing ceremony will be held, short speeches made and the parade officially concludes.
A picnic is arranged at Noank Park will be held at 11am. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and assorted soft drinks and bottled water will be available. The Noank Mystic Band will be play during the picnic until it is over at approximately 1:00pm.
