Indian and Colonial Research Center
The Indian and Colonial Research Center, Inc. (ICRC), Old Mystic, was awarded a CT Humanities Council $10,000 grant to improve the design and functionality of its web site www.theicrc.org. The grant will allow the Center to pursue development of an enhanced Internet presence permitting world-wide interactive virtual access to its wide ranging collections. Concurrently, the website will incorporate features encouraging local visits by SECT residents and visitors to enjoy its diverse and unique resources.
While small in physical size, ICRC holds extensive collections of books, manuscripts, photographs, genealogic information and artifacts embracing both Native Americans and early settler communities.
