Baseball great Darryl Strawberry will be the guest speaker at The Connection’s Second Annual Connecting with Hope Gala on June 18, at The Stone House in Deep River. The four-time World Series champion with the Mets and Yankees and eight-time All-Star selection, will speak about his illustrious career and his victory over years of substance abuse.
A two-time cancer survivor, Darryl and his wife, Tracy, operate a family foundation that addresses autism among youth. Darryl’s memoirs are captured in his new HarperCollins New York Times bestselling autobiography, “Straw: Finding My Way.”
