450 Walkers Brave Rain to March for Babies

Walkers get ready to March for Babies at Bluff Point State Park on Sunday, April 23.

The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits on Sunday when 450 walkers joined together in support of the smallest members of Connecticut’s communities – babies – by participating in March for Babies to benefit the March of Dimes.  At Bluff Point State Park, over $75,000 was raised (to-date) to support the mission to give all babies a healthy start.  Over $1 million was raised statewide.

Walkers who did not make Sunday’s event are encouraged to send their outstanding money to the March of Dimes, 867 Main Street, Manchester, CT, 06040, call 1.800.446.9255 or visit www.marchofdimes.com/Connecticut for more information.

Funds raised by March for Babies in Connecticut help support prenatal wellness programs, research grants, neonatal intensive care unit family support programs and advocacy efforts for stronger, healthier babies.  For the latest resources and information, visit www.marchofdimes.com or www.nacersano.org.
