Hospice Southeastern Connecticut Honors Volunteers

Hospice Southeastern Connecticut volunteers were honored with a brunch at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Officer’s Club.  The non-profit organization’s Volunteer Program has been active for 25 years and has over 120 active patient care and administrative volunteers who donate their time regularly for a variety of purposes. 

Volunteers assist patients and their families in various areas of care and support.  They go through a comprehensive 20 hour training and receive on-going continuing education. 

The following volunteers were recognized for their milestone anniversaries of volunteerism:

25 Years: Doris Beebe, Marilyn Douglass, Joan Lane and Mary Cay Whewell

20 Years: Ann Carignan

15 Years: Ann Arpin, Mary Lou Chichester, June Dailey

10 Years: Ann Arsenault, Kathy Bierwirth, Barbara Cambria, Phyllis Hartikka, Linda Lloyd, Christina Moore, Lillie Steadwell

5 Years: Janna Austin, Susan Benjamin, Denise Dostoler, Jim Greenleaf, Cory Haesche, Diona “D” Lavoie-Gonci, Jean Lazar, Ilona Oberman
