Mrs. Gesh’s 2nd grade class, Woodstock, handmade a quilt for the “Blanket Norwich with Love” blanket Drive. The blanket was given to the Madonna House, Norwich.
The final number of blankets collected and distributed at the Leffingwell House Museum by the members of the Society of the Founders of Norwich is (drum roll please) 868 blankets! Recipients included the Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Pauls Program, Davita Dialysis, American Cancer Society, Martin House, Thames River Family Program, Madonna House, Regional Shelter, New London, Norwich Shelter and Humane Society of CT, feline shelters, and dog pounds located in Norwich, Waterford, Preston, Bozrah, and Lebanon. The count of 868 did not include towels, sleeping bags, afghans, spreads or sheets – only blankets, quilts, and coverlets.
The Society of the Founders of Norwich and the Leffingwell House Museum cannot thank everyone who participated in the “Blanket Norwich with Love” blanket collection drive enough!
Thanks to all the contributors for your support and encouragement.

So many will be helped by this great cause : ) Love the pic of the quilt by the second grade class.
Though I have never visited the Leffingwell House Museum, hope to make it there someday.
