Katherine Castagno, daughter of Karen and Anthony Castagno of North Stonington, was named a First Group Scholar and was named to the Dean’s List at Smith College for the 2008-2009 school year.
The Dean’s List recognizes those students with grade point averages of 3.33 or above. First Group Scholars are further recognized for their particularly high level of achievement, and they generally represent the top 10 percent of the class.
Katherine Castagno graduated from Wheeler High School in North Stonington and is majoring in Environmental Geoscience at Smith.
