Thank you for speaking out about CFS! You are right, so many people do not believe we are not "just tired" and when you try to get disability pay, well, it's exhausting and often denied.

A new book "RECOVERY FROM CFS - 50 PERSONAL STORIES" has recently been published, reviewed in the Daily Mail and become a bestseller on Amazon. 50 men, women and children from 6 different countries tell their stories of recovery from chronic fatigue syndrome/M.E. At the end of each story the authors offer advice, suggest books, websites and therapies which helped them and many give contact details for people who need support. This hopeful, positive, inspirational and supportive book is a fantastic resource for anyone with CFS as amongst the 50 stories practically every therapy has been tried and tested. Dr Jacob Teitelbaum, Medical Director of the Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Centers Inc, USA, who himself had CFS, wrote the foreword to the book. For more details or FREE weekly stories by email from the book you can sign up on www.alexbarton.co.uk. There is also a RECOVERY FORUM which has just been set up on the website where you can talk about anything to do with recovery from CFS. I wish you luck with your own recovery.

I love to see members of the medical community embracing CFS! It is such a refreshing change. CFS mimics so many other diseases, it often takes a long time to get a diagnosis. There are many things you can do while you're waiting to feel better. The suggestions at www.chronic-fatigue-community.com/Lifestyle are very helpful.
