Cmdr. Robert Dunn took command of the Los Angeles class fast-attack submarine USS Hartford on May 23rd at the Naval Submarine Base New London. Robert relieved interim commanding officer Cmdr. Chris Harkins. Robert, a native of Prairie Grove, AK, graduated with distinction from the US Naval Academy in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Then he attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. earning a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1992. Robert previously served as Executive Officer aboard USS Ohio and Engineer aboard USS Connecticut. His most recent assignment was as a member of the staff for Commander, Submarine Force Pacific Fleet.
