The Mystic Women’s Club held a Military Whist Card Game fundraiser on April 26th at the Hoxie Fire Company, Mystic. Proceeds totaled $746 to benefit the Thames River Family Program which is a supportive community of formerly homeless families headed by single mothers pursuing goals of self-sufficiency, independence from public assistance and control over their lives. Participant families reside at Thames River Place, Norwich for a maximum of two years, while preparing for employment and developing life skills. There were twelve tables of four players each, with prizes for all.
