Dime Bank’s Blue Crew

The Dime Bank Blue Crew recently volunteered to serve food at the St. Vincent De Paul Place soup kitchen on behalf of the Hospitality Center in Norwich.  On February 23rd, 14 Dime employees volunteered at the Community Meal Site, and on March 9th, another 11 donated their time.  In all, the Dime Bank Blue Crew served 36 recipients.  Dime Bank provided meals of spaghetti and meatballs, and baked chicken with noodles.

The Hospitality Center was designed to be a safe, warm dry place for the chronically homeless, single adults to sleep during the worst parts of the winter (November 1st – April 1st). It is run by the Norwich Community Care Team, a group of health and human service, clergy and business organizations that have come together for the purpose of finding housing solutions for his group of people.

The Dime Bank Blue Crew was developed to capture Dime’s 139 -year tradition of supporting and giving back to the community.
