Jackie Rice, Waterford, celebrated her 75th year of life on February 25th. Days before, a surprise party was held in her honor by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. In addition to surprising her at event with nearly 100 guests, there was a surprise that a special gift will be given.
Jackie is a long time animal lover and has rescued many animals over the years while living in Waterford. She is a dedicated supporter of the CT Humane Society in Quaker Hill and holds the dedication of the staff at the facility in her heart for the tireless work that they do. Jackie cares so much for these people and all animals that she took all the money she received from her birthday event, over $700, and donated it to the Humane Society. That is just the kind caring person Jackie is.
