On Monday, January 12th, Jim Radgowski and Paul Botchis, co-owners of Radgowski’s Deli and Best Wash Laundromat, Montville, were honored by the Montville Economic Development Council (EDC) with its first ever, Beautification Award. “It was a unanimous decision to honor Jim and Paul with the first Beautification Award,” said Al Skulczyck, chairman, EDC.

The pair own and renovated four historic buildings on the corner of Route 163 and Crandall Hill Road, in the Palmertown section of Montville. The project which took three years, also included the addition of sidewalks and a large parking lot behind the buildings.

“Montville is a wonderful place to live and we thank Jim Radgowski and Paul Botchis for adding to the beauty of our community,” said Bill Caron, Councilor, Montville.

“It not only looks better, but it is easier to patrol,” said Lt. Lenny Bunnell, Montville Police Department and EDC Commissioner, about the addition of the parking lot. “Not only is it the most attractive area in town, but Radgowski’s Deli makes a wonderful sandwich too.”
