To celebrate the unveiling of the new 16,000 square foot, nautical-themed restaurant, bar, retail store and live entertainment venue; Mohegan Sun’s first indoor/outdoor venue with a view of the Thames River is why we escaped to Margaritaville for a few hours. As they say, “It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a state of mind!”
Singer, songwriter, and author Jimmy Buffett gave a live performance in Margaritaville’s intimate setting, invite only, concert for 500-600 lucky guests to celebrate the Grand Opening of Margaritaville at Mohegan Sun’s new Casino of The Wind. Guests included Parrot Heads, local VIP guests and 40 lucky radio and two lucky Resident winners. Party hardy on here.
L&M Hospital’s annual Well Healed Woman Symposium was the best ever! Mary Ann Nash gave us special tips to help stop the clock of aging…. She says it’s possible on page 9. Guest speaker was Emmy Award winning actress, Doris Roberts. Doris kept us in laughter as she shared her life story and beliefs here.
When asked, “What do you like best about yourself?” Doris answered, “That I can lay my head on my pillow at night and know that I have hurt no one.”
Three Cheers to the Rob Valenti Family on opening Valenti Subaru in Westerly. Bruce Morrow, general manager, says, “We’re expanding in this economy and that’s a good sign.” Let’s put our hands together here.
