Frogtoberfest 3rd Thursday | The Resident
Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

Time to get out the lederhosen and tune up for some yodeling. It’s Frogtoberfest! Change is in the air for the 3rd Thursday Festival, in Willimantic, on October 16th. This month the traditional event will change its theme to an old time Oktoberfest.

Expect the same fun, delicious food and great music with a German and more adult twist. The music will be provided by the Cavaliers playing a good ole Oom-pah sound that will be great to sing along or dance to.

Food will include bratwurst and its trimmings along with the usual fare but with German flair. Of course there will be locally brewed beer and Hosmer soda.

Get your souvenir authentic Frogtoberfest beer stein with its specially designed logo and head over to the beer garden for a fill up. And get the newly designed 3rd Thursday tee shirt. It all goes to help fun next year’s street fests.

The kids have not been left out…a special event will be held at the same time at the Kramer building with lots of fun things just teens.

It will be the same good time between Bank and North Streets on Thursday, October 16th from 6pm to 9pm. It’s free and there is plenty of free parking.
