The CT Sun will be helping to raise awareness of the dangers associated with breast cancer as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.
The Sun will be donating items to the Curves of Norwich “Girl’s Night In” auction, where all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Sun staff will also be delivering pink basketballs to the oncology departments of local hospitals to help raise awareness throughout the month.
“The CT Sun is very proud to be able to help bring attention to an issue that affects our players, coaches, fans and women around the world,” Chris Sienko, general manager, CT Sun,
said. “We see the opportunity to help area groups throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a key part of our continued commitment to the community as well as an opportunity to educate the masses about the importance of correct breast health and to celebrate breast cancer survivors.”
